Last week, we officially launched Dr. Lauren Jensen and it is too good to not share immediately! This psychologist website features subtle movement and textures we created from her rebranding. Dr. Lauren Jensen specializes in perinatal therapy in California and Hawaii. Throughout this blog post, we are going to explore the stages of creation and how we launched this project into the world wide web!

It’s especially important that your psychologist website reflects your personality, brand tone/values, ideal client and professionalism. Individuals are supposed to find you via Google, right? Definitely!

With technology evolving, it’s even more difficult to differentiate yourself from in-person businesses and online practitioners alike. As a branding and website design agency owner, establishing a strong brand awareness and online presence is key.

I’m Chloe – and I hope to use our online space to educate private practice clinicians on the data-backed advice that branding and website can work effectively for you when designed correctly. At our studio, we work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, dietitians, chiropractors and physical therapists to ensure brand awareness is at the forefront. When you are ready to scale away from 1:1 work, your website will allow you to do just that!

Why is a psychologist website necessary?

Such a great question and I hope this post helps to provide more clarity on why every psychologist and therapist alike needs a high-performing website.

Psychologist websites are necessary to:

  • Communicate your level of expertise in your field
  • Expand your online presence via organic search
  • Have a space that contains information you can send prospective clients
  • Increase brand awareness across different mediums
  • Have a space for one day passive income (ads)

These reasons can be applicable across different clinician fields (i.e. dietitians, chiropractors, PTs). The difference about having a psychologist website is finding someone who you personally connect with.

Yes, finding a therapist within your location, insurance or specialty could be at the forefront of your decision-making, but unless you resonate with them on a human level it’s unlikely you’ll actually work with them.

That’s where the website comes in!

Branding & Squarespace website for psychologist Dr. Lauren Jensen

Throughout this blogpost, we’ll be highlighting the custom branding, marketing collateral design and Squarespace website for psychologist Dr. Lauren Jensen.

As you navigate her website, you’ll find yourself drooling over the dreamy textures, surprised by the unexpected scrolling movement and have a clear understanding of who Dr. Lauren is as a human.

Dr. Lauren booked Chloe Creative for a complete rebranding, marketing collateral items and a Squarespace website design with 10+ pages. Our website designer Madison took the creative direction on for this project and we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

Let’s dive into this recent project so you can see the inside scoop on what it looks like to work with us on custom branding and website design.

Branding Phase: Branding for a psychologist website

To create the perfect branding for a psychologist website, you have to know your client.

Luckily, with our team’s process, we can effectively understand your preferences (design style) and your ideal client. It’s important to denote the information about your ideal client because in a sense, they mean more than you do in your practice!

To do so, you guys know the drill – we always ask our clients to complete an intake questionnaire. Via this questionnaire, we uncover so many facets of your business:

  • Personal values
  • Strengths/weaknesses
  • Ideal client persona(s)
  • Design style preferences
  • Website preferences

Because Dr. Lauren booked us for a normal website design (up to 10 pages of design & development), she was also given access into our Full Copywriting Guide to which she used to write her website copy from head to toe.

We don’t expect you to understand the ins and outs of website design or SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to write your copywriting. All of our clients gain access into our SEO & Blogging Guide, but you can also purchase that here if you want it publicly!

Now – diving into her branding concepts, this was her Pinterest Board inspiration:

From there, we cross-referenced to her intake questionnaire and ideal client descriptors and fully crafted her rebranding.

After approval, our Junior Designer Kate dove into collateral files. Dr. Lauren added on a business card and Instagram feed templates to assist in the implementation of her new branding!

Marketing Phase: Marketing collateral design

To every client, we offer the option to add on additional design items to better fit your needs. Collateral design items are the way to go about that! At our studio we currently offer:

  • Instagram templates
  • Instagram highlight circles
  • PDFs
  • Ebooks
  • Business cards
  • Email signature

If there’s something on this list that you’d need, you can always request a design item by emailing us!

Website Phase: Squarespace website for psychologist

My most favorite part of this project was seeing the brand design incorporated into this very beautiful Squarespace website! Our website designer Madison absolutely nailed this creative direction.

Dr. Lauren requested that her website be a combination of simple and minimalist, yet inviting to her ideal client. She did want to portray more of a feminine energy versus masculine (which made sense given she targets the perinatal space).

Lastly, her request was to contain enough copy throughout the website. This gives readers what they need to know about who she is and what she offers, without feeling too overwhelming. Luckily our copywriting guide is the perfect mesh of this!

Phase Four: Prepare and launch!

Now, we enter pre-launch preparation. This is the time for our clients to get even more excited! Their launch date is getting scheduled and we begin to curate a bunch of launch graphics!

Sometimes our clients choose to launch their websites immediately where some choose to delay this process to avoid any current employment crossovers. Either way – we’ve got you set.

Our pre-launch phase also is when we complete the following:

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • Mobile optimization
  • Quality assurance testing
  • Launch graphics
  • Recording website tutorials
  • Making website live on your domain

At the end of this period (which usually takes 2 days or less), your website is made live and you are free to announce as you please!

Let’s launch your psychologist website!

We are so excited to work alongside Dr. Lauren Jensen for her psychologist website. Dr. Lauren is one of many therapists we’ve worked with this year – check out these other posts:
