One of our latest project launches was for an online fitness training business, The MVMNT. The MVMNT hired Chloe Creative for a branding and VIP Website Full where she received a 5 page custom website design in just one business day! In this blog post, we will talk about her project’s progress and the results of our time working together.
In the online fitness training space, it’s crucial that your online presence reflect your approach to fitness or nutrition as accurately as possible. Even better – if your ideal client found you on Google – right?!
Definitely! Especially, as an online fitness coach, Kate wanted an online presence where her ideal clients would be attracted to her personality and resonate with her as a person. That’s why she hired our team at Chloe Creative.
I’m Chloe – founder of a design agency for private practice clinicians. In these posts, we love highlighting our clients at the studio to allow potential clients to see how working with us might look like. Throughout this post, you can find more information about The MVMNT’s rebrand, website design and targeted SEO strategy.
Do you need a website if you are in online fitness training?
A big question we often get asked is, “Do I really need a website?”
If we want to get technical about this – then the answer is no. No, you don’t have to have a website.
But, if you want the strategic, money-making answer, then yes!
In the online fitness training space, there have been many individuals enter the market by getting their CPT credentials, taking online education to become an online fitness trainer or by individuals just saying they are a “fitness trainer” without credentials.
Wherever you fall, we recommend having a website to set yourself apart. Secondly, it’s necessary to market yourself in the online space to reach a completely organic audience.
Rebrand and Squarespace Website for The MVMNT
Kate is an online CPT and actually a mutual friend of my college best friend! I absolutely love when clients come to us by either referral or by knowing us personally. It’s such an added touch!
Anyway – Kate reached out to us fully-fledged knowing she needed to ramp up her branding and website because she was newly in entrepreneurship.
She had pieced together a logo and felt her website was functional, but ultimately felt it was limiting her capacity for growth.
With that in mind, we recommended Kate to completely rebrand her online fitness training business with a complete brand suite of assets. From there, we’d complete a VIP Website Full, keeping her website on Squarespace and redesigning it from scratch in just one business day.
Let’s take a look at Kate’s project and the end result 🤗
Branding for the online fitness training space
Most branding in the fitness space tends to lean masculine with an emphasis on bold typography. With that in mind and what was outlined in Kate’s pinterest board, we had a good feeling of how we were going to take her branding.
In the branding phase, we ask Kate to complete an intake questionnaire that details her ideal client, personal design preferences, offerings and competitors. We love reviewing these intake forms because it allows us to really gain a unique understanding into their businesses.
Something quite unique about Kate’s ideal client is that she has two main types:
- Individuals searching for 1:1 fitness and nutrition coaching
- Other CPTs or fitness trainers looking for continuing education
Because of how different these clients were, we had to think strategically how we wanted to position both her branding and website design.
From the branding side, we wanted to lean heavily into the strength of fitness brands while also bringing in a “softer” feminine side with a bright pink and periwinkle blue. In the end, we felt it was a perfect balance of both audiences.
After brand approval, we could not wait to get our hands into web development with this project! Given the vibrant patterns and the graffiti marks – let’s see how the website turned out!
Websites in the online fitness training space
Before we dive into the Squarespace website design for The MVMNT, we wanted to chat about other websites in the online fitness training space.
Why? Because it’s nice to know the industry and what other websites have in common!
The MEGA Workout: The MEGA Workout was designed and developed by our team in 2019. This is a WordPress website. Although we did not create this branding, you can see that a lot of fitness brands follow a simple bolded sans serif font. We love it!
On their website, you’ll see video incorporation (which is always popular) as well as black and white imagery.
Kink Pilates: Kink Pilates was designed and developed by our team just last year on Squarespace. Taking a more opposing route, Kink’s branding is very bright, colorful and vibrant. However, the combination of equipment imagery and movement makes this very inviting for a pilates studio! View more about their project here.
Live Real Fit: Last but not least, this fitness branding completed by Chloe Creative takes on a serif font within the branding with a bold photography and prominent navy color. On this WordPress website, you’ll find movement (hence – movement in fitness) along with strong brand photography. We loved this creative direction! Read more here.
Squarespace website for The MVMNT
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, The MVMNT booked us for a Squarespace website. Not only did we custom-create this design, but we did it in just one business day 🤗

Aside from that, let’s dive into the Squarespace website for The MVMNT.
Some of the very important components of The MVMNT’s website is:
- Black and white imagery
- User experience with two different audiences
- Video component
We began her VIP Day by sending a kickoff email to denote we’ve began our work. Prior to this email, our team has already “conceptualized” the design to at least have a better idea of how we want to take this entire design.
Also prior to this day, we require that our clients have all imagery and copywriting delivered to our team.
By noon, we are able to send a full creative direction (live website) to our client for them to review via email and Google Docs. Based on the feedback we received, we decided to make all images and video black and white to create for a more uniform look with the branding.
At the end of the day, we removed her landing page and her website was live 🚀
